Q&A

The Q&A tab inside an account lets you ask a free-form question and get an AI-generated answer grounded in that account's data.

Asking a question

Type your question into the box at the top of the Q&A tab and click Ask. A confirmation dialog warns that the answer can take 30 seconds to several minutes to generate, since the AI reads the account's full context first. You can navigate away while it runs and the answer will be there when you come back.

The empty state shows how many channels and interactions exist for the account, as a rough sense of how much grounding is available before you ask.

What the answer is grounded in

Each question is answered fresh. Upsight builds a context block from the account's profile, win-wire history, account-state summary, recent meeting summaries, active cases, opportunities, contacts, consumption posture, ranked Aha ideas, and REACH scores, then sends that block plus your question to the AI in one prompt. There is no conversation memory. Every question is answered from scratch, not as a follow-up to the previous one.

Answers cite their sources inline, as backticked filenames or REACH values, so you can trace a claim back to where it came from.

Question history

The list on the Q&A tab shows your questions and answers for the current app session, most recent first, capped at the last 10. This history is not saved between sessions and clears when you switch accounts. To keep an answer permanently, save it as a document (below).

Saving an answer

Click "Save as document" under any answered question to store it as a Markdown file in the account's Documents tab. The file is named with a timestamp and includes the question and the full answer.
